CHSA Parent Ambassadors

Under a grant from the Packard Foundation, CHSA is working to develop a core group of parent advocates to work in their local communities and statewide on issues related to children and families.

The Parent Ambassadors, a select group of individuals, are trained to present effectively their personal experience in early childhood education, Head Start and community mobilization.

Each individual is trained to be proficient in the following communication concepts:

• Explore issues

• Develop critical thinking skills

• Prioritize their experiences

• Practice a step-by-step process for presenting their experience

• Feel comfortable formulating and voicing opinions
